Our Last Day

Everyone is so sad that it's our last day at the cabin.  We had a yummy French toast breakfast.  At breakfast we were talking about what everyone wanted to do on our last day.  The kids wanted to: play school, play playmobil, do cousin camp, blow bubbles, play games, play the Wii, roast hot dogs and marshmallows and go four wheeling!  Needless to say, we stayed very busy today.  The kids did a fun jungle sticker page and then they painted safari "sun catchers."  They were able to do everything on their list. Grandpa got out the bubbles and everyone blew bubbles.  It was so fun!

Every time I walk past the hammock I think, I should sit in that.  So today I finally took the time and sat in the hammock.  It was so relaxing to just swing and feel the sun on me.  Then the boys came over and snuggled with me. It was a great moment!

We went on an ATV ride through the secret passage way to Icehouse.  Then we went up Willow creek one last time.  Chase has been learning how to drive the ATV so of course, Bridger wants to drive too.  So I would let Bridger "help" drive and he thought he was SO big.  It was really cute.  Chase is doing a great job driving the ATV, he's even shifting.

Mylissa and I were able to go on one last bike ride up Willow creek canyon.  We were trying to soak in as much as possible because it's just so beautiful.  Matt, Shantelle and Robby even went for a bike ride.  Then tonight we roasted hot dogs and mom made her delicious dutch oven cheesy potatoes.  Then for dessert we had "s'mores!"  Everyone got so gooey eating the big puffy marshmallows.  It was a great way to end the cabin.  Matt wanted to go one last time up canyon 327 so Robby went with him.  They were gone for three hours.  We were starting to get worried about them but then they came home.  They saw lots of elk.  They saw a group of mommy and baby elk trying to hop a fence and a couple of the baby elk couldn't do it.  Matt said it made him so sad and he wanted to rescue them.  They stayed out till 10:00 so they were frozen when they got home.  Tonight Matt went out into the garage and got attacked by a bat.  He came running back inside to tell us about it.  The bat swooped right in front of his face.  We were laughing so hard at Matt!  I didn't know he had a bat phobia, but I don't blame him.  He's such a funny guy!
