Chase's Championship Soccer Game

Chase's soccer team the "Pink Panthers" has been undefeated this season.  The last couple of weeks they've been in the playoffs.  They made it to the final game against "the Shooters."  They were a really tough team.  They lost to them last season in the playoffs so the boys were really nervous.  Coach E kept telling the boys "focus on the game."  They played their little hearts out!  At the end of the hour the game was tied 2-2 so we had to play 10 minutes of overtime.  In the first couple of minutes, we scored a quick goal.  But then in the last three minutes, they scored on us.  So it was still tied at the end of overtime.  They had two boys that were their secret weapons because they were huge!  They were at least a head taller than our boys and they were so hard to stop.  Chase had to defend one of them for most of the game.  It was hard work but they never gave up.  They ran so hard.  

By the end of overtime, they looked so tired!!!  It had to go to an overtime penalty shoot out.  Each team got 5 kicks.  Chase was the second one on his team to kick.  Matt and I were so nervous for him but he kept his cool and was amazing!  He shot it right past their goalie and into the goal!  It was awesome!!!  Their team managed to pull ahead by one goal to win the shoot out and the game.  It was so exciting!!!  We were so proud of the boys!!!! Pink Panther's celebrating their championship game.  They remain undefeated!!!!  I love the picture of Chase and Raeder.  He's been such a good friend to Chase.  It's been so fun to stay in contact with them and continue their friendship.  

Grandpa and Grandma A came down because Grandpa really wanted to go to Chase's game.  The weather turned a little chilly and windy so Charlene stayed home with Tanner so I could go to the game.  I was so thankful she stayed with Tanner so I could see Chase's championship game.  It was SO worth it!!!
