Bridger Baseball

Bridger's begged us to play baseball this spring.  At first I was resistant because of the new baby coming.  I was worried about juggling everything.  But he was persistent so we gave in and signed him up.  Luckily Coach M lives in our ward and picked Bridger to be on his team.  There's seven other boys from the neighborhood that are on the team so he has a lot of friends!  Coach M. does a great job of teaching Bridger the fundamentals of baseball.  It's been so fun to see the improvements.  He's doing a great job and is becoming a good little baseball player.

The day that we came home from the hospital with Tanner, Bridger had a baseball game that night.  Matt had to go to Chase's soccer game.  I was just going to send Bridger with a neighbor but then Grandma R and Marilyn said they would stop by on their way home.  They ended up staying the whole game, even though they were freezing!  Bridger walked in the door announcing he won the "game ball!!!"  I started to cry because I felt bad about missing his big game. (It doesn't take much to make me cry). On Saturday, Bridger was disappointed that he didn't get the game ball.  He got in the car and said "I'm never going to win the game ball!"  He was awarded the game ball because he was playing short stop and got the ball and ran to second base to get the kid out.  Then he caught a "pop fly."  We were so proud of him!!!  Grandma came in the house and made a very big deal out of it.  I was surprised that they stayed the whole time but Mom said they wanted to support Bridger.  It was so sweet of them.  Good job Bridger!!!!
