Let the Party Begin

To celebrate Charlene's 75th birthday, we asked my aunt Kaye if we could stay at her cabin in Bear Lake. Aunt Kaye was so generous and said we were welcomed to come for almost a week! Angie and the girls came in town for it. Mike, Amy, Megan, Ashtyn, and even Chelsy and Austin came. Monday morning around 11:00, we met at Ardell's and started our caravan. Mike and Amy were a little ahead of us but we met them in Logan for lunch. After lunch we stopped by Kaye's for the cabin key but unfortunately she wasn't home to visit with. We then drove another hour to Bear Lake. The view is so spectacular when you come out of the canyon and see the lake. Kaye's cabin is wonderful! We're so excited to be here and have this time together. We celebrated Bridger, Charlene, and Ardell's birthdays tonight. I made marshmallow brownies per Bridger's request. I asked him if he was sick of marshmallow brownies and wanted me to make something else. I don't think he can get sick of marshmallow brownies because he loves them. I think in Bridge's mind he was going to get oodles of presents so he was a little disappointed when he only opened two presents, one from Amy, and the other from Charlene. They both spoiled him and got him some very fun things. Bridger was really excited about the "Michigan" ball that Charlene gave him. It was a mini blue and yellow basketball. Chase and Bridger had seen it at Target and Chase thought that it was so cool so of course Bridger decided he wanted it for his birthday. Matt picked out a beautiful Simon Dewey picture of Christ and all of us gave that to Charlene for her big birthday. She was thrilled with the picture! Amy, Austin, Chelsy, and Matt stayed up until 3:00am playing games. I kept waking up from their laughter but then I would just smile and go back to sleep because I loved hearing them laugh!
