Chase's Eagle Project

Chase has had an amazing scout leader, Jason T.  It's mostly because of him that Chase is earning his eagle.  Jody G in our T ward was also been wonderful in helping Chase get through the paperwork of applying for his eagle.  She walked him through, step by step.  Chase called Peterson Park in town and talked to the missionaries there.  They wanted him to work with another young man in our T ward to do a project together.  They assigned them a really big area to clear to make it an amphitheater one day.  Chase and Colton had to line up people to come and help, and line up tools like chain saws.  Our old T ward was phenomenal in helping us!!!!  Bishop and Cheryl, and his counselors came.  The young men president, Ricky and multiple young men leaders came.  Chase's friend Porter came and was a machine.  Layne and his two boys came and helped and several other people from our new ward.  We ended up having 50 people there helping.  Mom and Dad came too.  Mom was great to take care of Tanner so I could help.  We were worried that it was going to take us two Saturdays  but we had such great support that we were able to finish it up by 11:00.  We started at 8 but cruised through the project.  The missionaries came and looked it around 10:00 and gave them more to do.  We were able to finish the extra project by 11:00 so we called it quits.  The saying "many hands make light work" was definitely applicable for this project.

Tanner even helped!  The men with the chain saws cut down the trees into smaller pieces and then the rest of us carried down the pieces and stacked it into a huge pile.

I showed up around 8:30 with Tanner and Bridger.  I picked up some donuts and chocolate milk to share with our wonderful friends that were helping us.  We were planning on feeding them lunch, but we finished up before and no one wanted pizza.
Now Chase just needs to fill out more paper work to finalize his eagle before his board of review.  (There's way too much paper work in my opinion.  The BSA does not make this process easy.)
