Tanner's First Birthday

Tanner is one year old! He is still such a happy baby. He's discovering more and more every day. He's taking 2-3 steps all by himself! He stands up and walks along the couches and table. He'll pull himself up to a standing position at the back window and watch Sophie or a Chase and Bridger. He loves Sophie. He'll crawl over to her and pat her. Most of the time Sophie gets up and tries to get away from him. He uses his walker and goes all over the house. He still crawls all over. He goes up and down the stairs. He claps his hands and when you say "clap clap clap" he gets all excited and claps his hands. He loves to play with his stacking cups. He tires to put his playmobil guy in his car. He loves balls! He likes to crawl around with a ball in each hand. He's discovered how to make an "O" with his mouth. When he's excited he go "oh! Oh! Oh!" with his little O mouth. He babbles all the time and blows raspberries with his mouth. It's so cute! 

Tanner had a great first birthday.  Life has been so crazing with the move that we kept it simple.  Sweet Michael covered for Matt so he could come down for the celebration.  Tanner got a set of three foam balls, soccer, football, and basketball.  He loves them!  He got the book Polar Bear, Polar Bear that has sounds.  He got a little Playmobil 1,2,3 four wheeler, and some stacking cups.  We invited the C's to come up for some cake and ice cream.  Tanner at first didn't know what to do with the cupcake but once we gave him a little bite of it, he went to town on the cupcake.

I tried to take some "12 month old" pictures of Tanner but it was very challenging because he wouldn't hold still!  He's a very active one year old.  He loves to play with balls and his stacking cups.  He crawls off the couch and then walks along it holding on to it.
