On November 4th, they put in our fire hydrant. When they developed the land for houses, the developer did not put in fire hydrants because there were issues with water rights and water pressure. Years later when those issues got worked out, the neighborhood voted to put fire hydrants in and have every house pay $300. Unfortunately the neighbors did not agree with that and it did not pass. So instead, the new people building their homes have to pay for a fire hydrant which cost us around $5,000! That stung! So every time I drive past it I think "That's a beautiful fire hydrant!"
