Tanner's Birthday

Tanner brought a treat to preschool for his birthday.  He was so excited celebrate his birthday at school.  His teacher, Ms. Ginger, made him a special birthday crown.  He had the biggest smile on his  face when I picked him up.  Tanner is such happy little guy.  He loves to play with Chase and Bridger.  He likes to snuggle.  He likes to fall asleep in our bed so we're trying to break that habit.  He'll say "but you're bed is so soft.  I just really really like your bed."  He's starting to eat a few more things and isn't quite as picky but I would still consider him picky.  He likes strawberry shredded wheat, Cocoa Puffs, Cinnamon Sugar cereal, gold fish, cheeze its, fruit snacks, Mac and cheese, fruit roll ups, fruit squeezes, rice, broccoli, raw carrots and yogurts.  He still won't eat a grilled cheese sandwich or turkey sandwich.  But you can see from the list, that he's improving.  He doesn't take a nap everyday.  It's every other or every few days.  I think it finally catches up to him and then he crashes.  But he likes to take a nap around 3 or 4:00 so then he's up until 11:00.  But if he doesn't, then he is beyond ornery.  He likes to ride his bike.  His favorite movies are anything "Car's" or minions related and Lego Batman.  I can't count how many times, he's watched those movies.  He likes to play with bubbles. He loves peeler beads!  He likes to help me fix food especially desserts.  He's getting really good at his colors and shapes.  

After preschool, I took Tanner and his friend Sy to K.Z.  They had the place mostly to themselves.  They jumped for a couple of hours.  They were exhausted by the end.  But they had so much fun and Tanner was so happy to have a friend to play with.  Sy is such a cute buddy.

Tanner got lots of presents for his birthday.  He loves "Cars" so he got several "Cars" presents like the Mini Mac hauler and the Jackson Storm hauler.

Tanner is getting into to dinosaurs.  I love this phase.  He got an awesome dinosaur book that tells lots of fun facts.  It shows how big a dinosaur would be next to a human.  Then he got a dinosaur book that makes sounds.  While I was shopping at Costco with Tanner, we saw a badminton set.  At first, I said that we should get it for Matt for Father's Day.  But Tanner convinced me to get it for him for his birthday.

I think this picture is so funny of Tanner holding his hand over Chase's mouth.  He was worried Chase was going to blow out his candles.

Tanner also got this castle tent that he loves to play in.  Tanner is into super heroes too.  He got Spiderman and Batman pajamas.

Tanner requested chocolate cake for his birthday.  He loved it so much, he ate it with his fingers.

The following Sunday after Tanner's birthday, we had dinner at the A's house to celebrate Tanner's birthday and Mother's Day.  Tanner fell asleep on the drive down.  When we got there, he still wanted to sleep.  So Charlene soaked up rocking him for awhile.

Tanner loves to play with Ella.  I love that Tanner has a cousin to play with when we get together with the A's.  He and Ella have turned into good friends.  The A's spoiled Tanner for his birthday.  Mike and Amy gave him a fun nerf thrower that throws a mini football.  Grandpa and Grandma gave him a fun toy that he holds in his hand and then it launches flying rings into the air.

On Mother's Day, we got together with the R's.  We celebrated anyone's birthday in the last couple of months.  Marilyn gave Tanner a Lego treehouse.  We bought this gift for Julie's birthday.  Everyday Tanner would pull out the box and look at it and tell me how badly he wanted it for his birthday.  Mares was sweet enough to give it to him.  Mom and Dad gave Tanner the playmobil Porche!!!  Now he and Bridger both have Porche's.  The W's gave him Cruz Ramirez's hauler.  He was so happy with his presents!
