Happy Halloween

Tanner has been determined from the beginning to be Batman for Halloween.  We looked up costumes on Amazon and this is the one he picked.  He was so excited when it came in the mail.  He had to try it right on and wear it around the house.  He loves his "big muscles."

Matt was off and was able to come help at Bridger's Halloween party.  We played bingo with half of the class while the other half was outside playing kickball.  After the party, we stuck around for the school parade.  While we were waiting for it to begin, Tanner sat up on the stage and posed for us.
Bridger was a little worried about what to be for Halloween because some of the kids at school were mean about his costume from last year.  (Some kids are so mean!). Bridger decided to be a nurse anesthetist but no one really knows what that is so he told everyone he was a doctor.  We borrowed some scrubs and then he picked out one of Matt's work hats and wore my old stethoscope.  It was the easiest costume I've ever done.  Bridger was really happy with how it all came together.  He looked very official.

Living out in the "country" the community does a trunk or treat.  Everyone met at the church at 6:30 and went trick or treating.  People parked their cars all around the parking lot and then the kids walked around getting a lot of candy.  Most kids went around 3-4 times.  I thought I had plenty of candy (over 300 pieces) but at the last minute our home teacher dropped off a treat and asked us if we would take his extra candy.  He saved us because we ended up using all of our candy and his candy.  Bracken went treat or treating with the boys.  It was so fun to have him come along.  He's been such a good friend to Bridger.  We're so glad they moved out here.

Instead of having a car, one of the neighbors was in a carriage pulled by a little shetland pony.  Bridger and Tanner thought that it was so cute!  It cracked me up!  Chase at the last minute, invited a few friends over to hang out at the house.  Overall it was a great Halloween.  I still get homesick for Shantelle on Halloween night.  I miss the times that we used to hang out together on Halloween.

Bracken came back to our house and the boys counted out their candy.  They scored big time!  Bridger had over 130 pieces of candy.
