We're quickly learning the construction language. If they say they're going to be there in a couple of days that means 1-2 weeks. If they say they're going to be there next week, that means they'll be there in a month. After a couple of weeks after our footings were completed, they showed up to do the foundation of our house. I was so impressed with the workers. They worked so hard and they had to walk on tiny ledges.
The boys loved watching the cement pumper, pump the cement into the foundation frames. A cement truck would come and dump the cement into the pumper truck. Then one of the workers used a remote to move the pumper crane around while the workers on the edge guided it into the frames and smoothed things over. One of the reasons Chis likes this company is because they vibrate the cement right after it's been poured into the frames to get out the air bubbles. It makes it a stronger foundation. It took them about a week and a half to complete the foundation. It looks GREAT!
