New Year's Eve

New Year's Eve was a rather boring night.  We were a little partied out from the holidays so we just stayed at home.  We watched the movie "The Blind Side"  but Chase was too tired and went to bed around 10.  Tanner fell asleep in my arms so I just soaked it up while we watched the movie.  Bridger was so determined to stay up until midnight even though he was tired.  We
At midnight, we got the bubbly out and said "cheers!"  Happy New Year!  To be honest, I was really homesick for Shan.  Normally they would celebrate New Year's Eve with us.  We've had lots of great New Year's parties playing Just Dance.  So I sent her this picture of me drinking the bubbly and I told her that I missed her.  She sent me back the ones of her and the girls.  We were both missing each other.

Crazy for Legos!

The main thing that Bridger was asking for for Christmas was the Star Wars Lego set, Kylo Ren's Ship.  Luckily Bridger was a very good boy so Santa brought it for him.  It's the biggest lego set he's ever received.  It had over a 1000 pieces!  I was worried that it would be too complicated for him and Chase would have to finish it but after Christmas we set a table up in Bridger's room so he could put it together.  It took him about three days of working on it to finally complete it!  He was so focused and determined.  He did a great job putting it all together.
First step, take out all the bags and get them in order.  Look how many bags of lego pieces there are!

Bridger was amazing to take it step by step and follow the directions.  He never got frustrated with it.  He just followed the instruction book really closely.

He finally finished it!!!!  It looks amazing!!  What an accomplishment!  The wings can go really tall or collapse down so they're shorter.  It came with six lego figures.  His favorite is Kylo Ren of course.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!!!  The boys woke up around 6:00 but waiting until Tanner woke up around 7:30.  Bridger and Chase received large, fur like bean bags! Tanner loves them too!  Bridger was so happy to get a Denver Bronco's "Manning" jersey!  Chase got a couple of UA hoodies.   Bridger got a UA hoodie too.  Chase was all about clothes this Christmas.  Luckily Bridger is still into toys and wanted some legos.

Tanner got a few new toys.  He liked his talking "grill."  Bridger was happy with his Nike beanie .

I was so excited to give Matt this toothbrush.  He gave it to me a couple of years ago but I thought it was totally frivolous because we already had an electronic toothbrush so we took it back and put the money towards a tv.  Ever since then, Matt talks about this toothbrush all the time.  It went on sale and so I bought it for him.  We have actually loved it!  I tease him frequently that he should have gotten me one sooner.

Chase got a new "puffy" coat for Christmas.  The boys were very happy with their new bean bags.  They were a big hit from Santa!!!  Santa brought Tanner a "rocking" horse.  He was so excited with the horse and wanted to get right on it.  The horse makes noises when you ride it and Tanner just giggled while he was riding it.  I loved his big smile.  We named the horse "Bullseye" (Woody's horse from Toy Story).

Chase was surprised to get the gross jelly bean game "Bean Boozled."  Chase and Bridger also got ski/snow helmets.  Shantelle found the "World's Greatest Farter, I mean Father" shirt.  When she called and told me about the shirt, I knew I had to get it for Matt.  He thought it was really funny.  Tiff ordered one for Layne too.  I told Matt that he can't wear it if I'm with him.

Matt gets frustrated that he doesn't know if the dishwasher is clean or dirty so I found this plastic turnable sign to go on the dishwasher letting you know if it's "clean or dirty."  The boys thought it was a great idea and were really excited to give it to him.

Around 12:00 we went to the A's for a lunch and more celebrating.  Angie came in town for the holiday but the girls were with John so it was weird not having them around.  We really missed them.  Amy worked it out with her kids for all of them to come over and play "Candy" bingo.  We had so much fun playing the game.  Then we exchanged presents.  The boys were spoiled!! Angie gave Bridger cowboy boots and Chase a Nike shirt.  Amy and her family gave Bridger a football lego set and Chase some UA basketball shorts.  He's loved them!

Bridger won the bingo hat again!!!  (He won it at Thanksgiving too).

Amy and Mike and us went in on a new digital camera for Ardell.  It's been many years since Jake gave him his last camera.  He was very surprised by the gift.  We hope he likes it!  I think this picture is so sweet of Ardell and Charlene. I love their smiles!

Around 5:00 we went over to the R's for more celebrating!  We ate more food!  Then we opened up gifts.  Mom and Dad gave Tanner a fun tower car ramp.

Shan finished the latest "Island Park" book for Mom and Marilyn.  They were thrilled with it!! It's such a treasure.  We gave Dad the "many expressions of Vader" t-shirt.  Then we told him that we wanted to take him and mom to go see the new Star Wars movie.

These pictures of Tanner and lily crack me up.  They love to be right by each other.  They either love each other or are fighting over toys.  But when they get along, it's so darn cute!!

I love this picture of Mom and Tanner.  Tanner is doing one of his big "cheesers."  What a priceless picture!

A couple of weeks after Christmas, we meet at Marilyn's house for the Taylor family party.  Brian and Leslie had already gone back home.  But it was fun to see everyone else.
