First Day of School

Chase and Bridger went back to school on August 26th.  Bridger started 7th grade.  At the end of the last year school year, he was selected as a Head Husky.  He's so excited for the adventure that awaits for him.  He had to wear his Head Husky shirt for the first two days of school.  He had to stay in the halls and help students find their classes and open their lockers.

Chase started his junior year (11th grade)!!!  It's too bad that we're so poor that Chase has to wear jeans with holes in them.  Ha, Ha!  It's crazy that's the style.  But Chase rocks it!  He has a tough class load this year.  Maybe he'll finally have to study.  Chase is lucky enough to drive to school.  It's nice to give him a little extra time in the morning.  (But I worry about the school parking lot.)
Tanner wanted to be right next to Chase and see what all of this homework was about.

Tanner had to wait a week to start school because they do testing the first week with the kindergarten students to assess who needs all day kindergarten.  It was torture on Tanner not to start school with his brothers.  He would wait anxiously for them to come home.  On the first day, Tanner ran out to greet them.

Thomas is also a Head Husky.  Bridger and Thomas are such great friends.  I love this picture of them.

Tanner finally got his turn to start school on September 3rd.  My baby is in kindergarten!  He gets on the bus at 7:35!!!  The bus gets to school around 8:05. The students are able to eat a free breakfast if they want.  I took Tanner to school the first day and showed him the cafeteria.  His class also went down and ate breakfast on the first day.  School goes till 11:35.  By the time he gets home it's 12:10.  It will be a little challenging waking Tanner up so early at 7:00.  We'll definitely have to work on going to bed earlier.

Tanner has Mrs. B for his teacher.  She's darling with the students.  I was so impressed with her and her classroom.  Tanner's little buddy from church, Levi, is in his class.  All of his other buddies are in the other classes.  We were hoping that Mack would at least ride the bus home with Tanner but they're on different buses so we'll have to work out some play dates.

Rachael's Birthday

I had a fabulous 42nd birthday.  Sweet Mom, Marilyn, Mylissa and Shantelle arranged it to meet me for pedicures in K town.  While we were getting pedicures, Shantelle handed me a cooler.  Inside was BYU creamery ice cream that was similar to Graham Slam from Island Park.  So I ate my ice cream while getting a pedicure.  Now that's the life!!!  Hazel came with us too.

This summer I discovered B pizza.  I'm normally not a pizza gal but this pizza is amazing!  It's a really thin crust and you can put whatever you want on it.  I do  half Alfredo and the other half red sauce.  Then I load it up with veggies.  Then finish it off with a balsamic glaze....delicious!!!!  Mom, Dad, Marilyn and Mylissa came to lunch with me.  Shantelle had to get back home to get her girls from school.

Matt and the boys were really sweet and spoiled me for my birthday.  I got a new paper towel holder, a new fancy crock pot and a fit bit.  Matt wanted to get me the Apple Watch but he didn't know if I would want it and he was worried about the price.  After researching things for a couple of weeks, I decided to go with the Apple Watch.  I love it!!!
I love Maddox's coconut cream pie so I picked one up on the way home for my birthday cake.  I love the picture of me with the boys.  Matt and the boys are the most important things to me in my life!  They make me so happy! What a great birthday!

Soccer Game with the R's

We carried on the tradition and gave Dad and Marilyn tickets to the R soccer game for their birthdays.  Everyone jumped on board but Bud's family.  Hopefully one day they'll come with us.  We met at C B for dinner.  Then we celebrated Hazel's birthday and watched her open a few presents.  Everything is so magical when you're three.
This is one of my favorite things that we do during the summer.  I love that we all get together and enjoy one soccer game.  I was trying to figure out how long we've been doing this and I was thinking around 13-14 years.  It's a great tradition.

Mylissa's family has season tickets so we switched up the kids so they could sit by each other.  Julie sat with us and Chase took her seat with them.  At half time, we had Caleb and Tanner come sit with us because we have empty seats by us.  Dad bought big icey drinks for everyone at half time.  The kids loved it!  It was a fun night being together.

Bridger's 13th Birthday

July 20th. A couple of weeks before Bridger's birthday, we went out to dinner at O G after a soccer game.  The server asked if we were celebrating anything, so we said we were celebrating Bridger's birthday.  They came out and sang to him and brought him a free dessert.  We always love it when Bridger's friend Bentley gets to hang out with us.  Bridger's birthday week was a little hectic so it was good that we were able to celebrate a little early.

Bridger had a rough birthday!  Tanner started with the stomach flu Saturday night, then Bridger got it and then I came down with it.  It wiped us out.  Luckily Bridger and Tanner only had it for 24 hours.  But it took me a few days to get over it.  It made for a really crummy birthday for Bridger.  He slept off and on for most of the day.  He at a little bit of noodle soup for dinner.  I made marshmallow brownies for Bridger because we were supposed to go down to the A's for a birthday dinner.  Poor Bridger was too sick to eat any brownies.  Bridger perked up a little later in the night and was able to open his presents.  (When we asked him earlier in the day if he wanted to open his presents, he said he was too sick).

Bridger's iPod is acting up so we looked into getting him a new one.  It was the same price as a phone so we decided to bite the bullet and get him a phone.  (I was hoping to wait one more year).  I told Bridger that we gave one to Chase too soon so I was going to make him wait another year.  So he did not expect a phone.  We gave Bridger a fishing box because at scout camp, he was the only boy that didn't have his own fishing stuff.  I tricked Bridger because I put the cell phone box inside the fishing box.  Bridger was really surprised!!!  It was an awesome moment.  He was so happy!

Matt was Bridger's first phone call.

Bridger got some sandals, a belt, BB8 bop it, bottle bash, a new bag, and water lacrosse sticks.

Bridger was too sick to eat any brownies.  So we put a candle on his empty plate and sang happy birthday to him.

Bridger was supposed to have his party on Monday but with us being sick, we moved it to Friday August 9th.  Luckily by then, everyone was healthy.  Bridger invited his closest friends: Nick, Jagger, and Thomas.  We took them to to U Air.  They boys had a blast!  We stayed almost four hours!!!  Bridger's friends were very generous and gave him really nice gifts.  We ate some pizza, had ice cream Oreo cake and then headed to the jumping place.  Tanner brought his friend Cy.  They're such cute little buddies.

Everyone had a great time.  Bridger finally got to enjoy his birthday!
