Happy Halloween

At 4:00 Bridger reminded me that we hadn't carved out pumpkins yet.  I told him we didn't have enough time but he begged and begged until I gave in.  So while he was finishing up his homework, I scraped out the inside so it was all ready for him to carve.  (Chase was outside moving the lawn).  Bridger designed and carved his pumpkin all by himself.  He did a great job.  Then I put together our potato head pirate pumpkin that Shan gave us years ago.

This year for Halloween, Tanner wanted to be Superman.  At first Bridger wanted to be a doctor but then he changed his mind and said he wanted to match Tanner so I shopped all around and found a matching Superman costume for Bridger.  I thought it was so sweet that Bridger wanted to match his little brother.  (Soak that up!)
Tanner loves his Superman costume.  He likes to wear it around the house and show off his muscles.  He'll say "I be Superman."  It's so cute!

Last year was a hard Halloween for me because I was so homesick for our old neighborhood and Shan.  The boys didn't have any friends to go trick or treating with.  Luckily this year was so much better!  Chase didn't want to go Trick or Treating for the first time ever.  He was too cool for it and wanted to hang out with his friends from school.  They went to a corn maze.  Bridger at first said that he didn't want to go with friends because he was worried that they wouldn't want Tanner to come and Bridger really wanted to go trick or treating with Tanner.  But luckily, Thomas and Bracken were so sweet about having Tanner tag along.  They were great about it and were very protective of Tanner.  Thomas was Joker and Bracken is wearing the black thing.  Tiff and Cami came with me and we walked around the neighborhood with the boys for about an hour. Tanner was done after that but the older boys wanted to go a little bit longer.  So Tiff took them up to Radio Hill and let them hit some more houses.  Bridger had a great time with his friends!  I'm so grateful that he's founds some good friends.

Tanner ran from house to house as fast as his little legs could run because he was so excited about the candy!!  Bridger got lots of candy and was so sweet to share with us.  It was a great Halloween!

Basement Floor!

After the foundation was finished.  The plumber came and put in the pipes for the basement.  Then they brought in about 10 truck loads of rock to put down.  Then they came and poured the basement floor.  It's so fun to see some progress!

Halloween Party with the R's

While we were getting dinner ready, I looked out the window and saw Dad and Tanner sitting under the gazebo.  They were having a little chat.  It was so sweet!  I had to capture the moment.

We carried on the tradition and had a R Halloween party.  Mom rolled out the red carpet for the parade.  Shan's such a good sport.  She was so excited to show us her costume.  She rocked it!!  We were laughing so hard.  She's so full of spunk!

When Tanner came out after changing into his costume, he looked at Lilly and paused and then said "It's Minney Mouse!"

Everyone had a great time in their costumes.  Mom's been really sad about giving away all of our dance costumes that she made years ago.  So she's had them just sitting out on the bed downstairs.  So Maddie and Chase were creative and came up with their costumes using some of the dance costumes and dresses that Grandma made. Maddie was Captain Hook and Chase was Wendy Darling (wearing Mylissa's baptism dress). We all had a really good laugh with their creativity.

Bridger couldn't believe that Grandma used to wear that wig.  Shantelle makes it look good!

What a good looking bunch!  Caleb was hysterical in his costume!!  He loved being the Hulk and wanted to "SMASH" everything!  Caleb, Tanner and Bridger were super hero buddies.

Chase's Football Season

Chase has had a great first football season!  He's loved playing on Clint's team.  He's been able to make more friends.  He has practices Tuesday-Friday with a game on Saturday.

Chase was able to be one of the main kickers.  He did a great job!

Chase was so fun to watch!  His coaches were very complimentary on his skills.  They were impressed that he caught on so quickly to the game.  His main position was "safety" on defense.
Chase's team made it to the playoffs.  They won their first game in the playoffs but then they lost their second game.  Overall, they had a great season!!!  Chase is definitely hooked on football now.

Chase had an amazing cheering section.  At every game, Chase had a whole section cheering for him.  Our families were wonderful to support Chase.  Mike, Jake and Grandpa A came to almost every game no matter where it was, how early or how far.  They were amazing to support Chase.

It was so cold at this game, but our families still came.  They bundled up and supported Chase!

Mylissa and Rob were in Hawaii so we had their kids for the weekend.  Mom and Dad brought the kids up on Friday but then they stayed in a Hotel in town.  That way it made it easier for them to get up and make it to the game by 8:30 and they didn't have to go back and forth so much.  It ended up being a fun night because we took the kids over to the hotel after dinner and had them go swimming in the indoor pool.  They loved it!

Jess was so sweet and came to a bunch of games, even when it got really cold.  Isaac and Ella braved the cold.
