Swimming at the W's

Mylissa's really wanted a swimming pool because most of their neighbors have one.  So to try it out, they bought an above the ground portable swimming pool.  It fit perfectly on their patio but 3/4 of the pool is in the shade.  That makes it really nice for sunburns but it doesn't heat the pool very well.  Eventually the pool warmed up to 65 degrees but that it still really cold to swim in.  But the kids didn't care.  They had so much fun swimming!!!

Little Lily's lips would be blue and she was shivering but she wouldn't come out because she was having so much fun.  The kids would swim for a little and then go jump on the trampoline to warm up.  Even Tanner got in but it was a little too cold for him.  But he liked splashing Maddie.

It doesn't matter what we do, we love being together!!!!!

Eli's Home!!!

After two years of serving a faithful mission, Elder Eli Blair came home from Oregon.  Kip invited us to come to the airport and I'm so glad we did.  It was awesome to see Eli coming down the escalator and to see him embrace his families.  Eli's been such a great example to my boys.  They've written Eli some letters over the last two years.  I'm so proud of Eli!!!
It was so great to visit with Brent and Becky.  Oh how I've missed them!!! They will always have a special place in my heart.
After Eli had gone around hugging all of his family and friends, he came over and gave us big hugs.  Matt was disappointed because he had to stay home and work.  Bridger whispered in my ear "Can I get a picture with just me and Eli?"  So this picture makes me smile!!!
We went back down to AF on August 9th for Eli's homecoming.  He started off his talk by saying "the bishopric has asked me to talk on chastity."  There was a quick moment of shocked silence and multiple heads popping up and then Eli said "just kidding."  It made me laugh so hard.  I love his sense of humor.  It was awesome to look around and see all of our Minnesota family there to support Kip and Jeff.  We had a great time back at the Blair Wood house visiting.  We will always be close with our Minnesota family.

Celebrating Pioneer Day at L

Our favorite ride this season has been Cannibal.  We convinced Dad to go on it one time.  We told him he's probably the only 70 year old that's brave enough to go on it.  He's such a good sport.  At the end of the ride we started to crack up because Dad's hair was wild!!!  Matt told Dad not to touch it until after a picture.  We had a good laugh over it.   We celebrated the pioneer holiday by going to L the day before.  We slept over so we could celebrate the real holiday the next day.  We had a fun time at L.  Mom, Dad, and Marilyn came over later in the day with lunch.  We celebrated Aliyah's birthday too.

We had such a fun day together.  Matt left around 4:00 to go back to work but at least he was able to play with us for a little bit.  Maddie, Chase, and Bridger wanted to go on the Terror Ride for the first time.  Bridger got off the ride and said "now that's dumb!"  They're funny!!!

Our New Neighbor

When Matt came home from the cabin, all of the cat's food was gone.  We've been leaving it outside for her.  Normally I have to fill it up every 2-3 weeks so I was shocked that it was all gone.  I figured that Lizzy was extra hungry from running around in the fields all day.  One night Sophie started barking by the front windows.  I was worried that she was going to scare Lizzy so I ran into the front room to get Sophie and to look for Lizzy.  Boy was I surprised when I saw a little skunk eating Lizzy's food!!!  No wonder Lizzy's food was disappearing.  I had everyone quietly come into the front room to see the skunk.  Luckily no one got sprayed.  The skunk visited us every night for about a week.  Then we decided to move Lizzy's food into the garage because it was the only way to get rid of the skunk.  Sure enough!  By keeping the food inside the garage, our friendly skunk found a new home.
