Primary Program

The boys had their primary program today.  Grandma and Grandpa R and Grandpa and Grandma A came down for it.  The theme this year was "Families are Forever."  The boys did a great job with their parts.  Chase said "We remember and worship our Savior, Jesus Christ.  When I remember Jesus, I remember to choose the right."  Bridger said "I prepared for baptism by praying that I may know the truth."   The songs were beautiful!  They did such a great job!  This was Chase's last primary program because he will be graduated from primary next year.  We were so lucky to have our parents come to the program.  Grandma and Grandpa A couldn't stay for dinner because they had a mandatory temple meeting to go but at least they came to the program.

After sacrament meeting, we came back to the house to visit with everyone.  The boys were making Tanner do his belly laugh.  Everyone thought it was so funny!!!

Tanner 4.5 Months Old

This was one of the few outfits that I kept from the boys.  Matt's sweet neighbor Sandy gave it to us when Chase was born.  It was our favorite outfits.  I have pictures of Chase and Bridger in this outfit. They would love to play with the frog in the pocket.  It seems so surreal to see Tanner in this outfit.  Tanner is learning to put his binki back in his mouth.  I came in one morning and he had his binki in his mouth.  Tanner loves to blow raspberries.  He tries to mimic you us when we blow raspberries.  It's so cute!!!

5 Kids is a lot of work!

Shantelle and Robby needed to go to the Manti temple.  So we watched their girls for them.  It was a busy day with games.  We brought them to Bridger's soccer game and then Chase's lacrosse game.  They were really good but it was a lot of work taking care of 5 kids!!!!  The picture of Lilly crying cracks me up.  She was eating lunch and was happy but then Chase walked past her in his lacrosse gear (helmet and all) and she freaked out!!!  I love the picture of Aliyah and Bridger driving the truck.  They've had so much fun with that truck over the years.

Bridger's First Pack Meeting

Because we skipped pack meeting in August because of my birthday, Bridger's first pack meeting was tonight.  Kip is the Cub Master.  She welcomed Bridger into scouts by "branding" him with the word cub.  Bridger's already earned his "bobcat."  He got to eat a donut off a string to celebrate earning his bobcat.  He loves going to scouts every Monday.  He was so excited to go to pack meeting and then he got to help with the flag ceremony.  What a great night!

Peaches!!!!

Last year we didn't can any peaches so we needed to do some this year.  We did a TON of peaches!! I think Dad bought 15 boxes of peaches but luckily we didn't can all 15!  But we did can 87 quarts of peaches and over 50 jars of peach jam!  I headed up to Mom's as soon as the boys left for school which was around 9:00. Marilyn was already there so we started the process.  Shan came up when Aliyah finished school and Mylissa came up too.  Shan found a theme song for us. It's the song that goes:  "moving to the country, I'm gonna eat me a lot of peaches.  Peaches for you. Peaches for me."  We laughed so hard!!!  We had quite the factory going.  Dad stayed outside with the camp chef processing the jars.  You couldn't count how many times poor dad went up the stairs.  When the jars were done, he set them on a table in the garage to cool.  The kids were such good helpers.  Tanner took a couple of long naps so that saved me!  Sweet Marilyn made a yummy pasta salad for us to eat for lunch.  Dad ended up going to the store three different times during the day.  But we finally finished up around 8:00!!!  Shantelle made us turkey and cheese panini.  We were starving so they tasted so good.  We ate the rest of Marilyn's pasta salad with the sandwiches.  It was a very long day but we're so happy to have peaches in our food storage.

Tanner in the Bumbo

Shantelle let me borrow her "Bumbo."  I never used one with my other babies.  It's an awesome invention!!!  It supports the baby so they can sit upright.  We're not supposed to but we keep it on the kitchen counter.  Tanner LOVES sitting in it!!!!  He watches the boys eat breakfast every morning.  When I'm fixing dinner, he'll sit in it and just watch me.  He spits up a little bit more in it but it's worth it.  He feels like he's part of the family.  He's so happy!

Bridger's Baptism

Bridger has been waiting to get baptized.  His Grandpa and Grandma R were out of town for the August baptism so he patiently waited until September.  He's been so excited for this day to finally come.  Every morning he would count the days until his baptism.  When I asked Bridger what to write about his baptism in his journal this is what he said:  "I was nervous to be baptized.  I felt sick inside.  But once I got baptized I felt happy.  The water was warm. Shantelle made me a special quilt to remind me of the Holy Ghost.  I love it!  I'm excited to have the Holy Ghost."
Bridger had to share his special day with another little girl in our ward.  So the primary president said that Bridger could ask one person to give a talk on baptism and one person to say the prayer.  When I asked Bridger who he wanted he immediately responded "Chase!"  Chase at first refused but after a couple of days of Bridger's persistence, he agreed.  Bridger told him "it's just like bearing your testimony."  At first Bridger wanted Marilyn to say the prayer but I explained to him that Marilyn has such a tender heart and probably would be too emotional to say the prayer.  When we told Marilyn this she laughed and said we were right.  So Bridger asked his awesome Uncle M. to say the closing prayer.  Chase did an amazing job on his talk.  Matt printed off an outline that he uses for baptism talks.  He reviewed it with Chase and then Chase practiced the talked several times.  I was so impressed with what a great job he did!!!  It meant a lot to Bridger to have his big brother give the talk.

In Bridger's special baptism book he wrote this about his family:  "Mom gives me kisses. Dad gives me hugs.  Chase plays with me.  Tanner smiles at me."  How sweet!
We were so lucky to have so many wonderful people come to Bridger's baptism.  He was surrounded by lots of people that love and support him.  His school teach Ms. L even came.  He was SO happy about that!!!  His close friends Brody, Bronco, and Isaac came.

Bridger loves his new baptism suit that Grandma and Grandpa R bought for him!!!  He looks so handsome in it!  Bridger has a very kind heart.  He is very loving.  He is a good friend.  He loves his brothers.  He loves his dog Sophie.  He loves school and loves to read.  Sometimes he talks in a silly voice that drives his parents nuts!  Bridger loves to be tickled and have his back scratched.  He is always coming up to me and saying "tickle my pits" or "tickle bickle me."  He's a crazy kid!

Bridger's best buddies came to support him,  Isaac, Brody and Bronco.

My sweet Uncle Nolan and Aunt Barbara came to Bridger's baptism.

I wanted Bridger to feel really special on his baptism day.  I made a cute banner that had different pictures of Bridger on it.  Then I made these cute baptism treats for the guests to take home.  The little orange bags had taffy in it.  Bridger wanted everything orange.  For the food, he chose ham and turkey sandwiches with salads and fruits.  Mylissa made her yummy peanut butter bars and caramel bars.  Delicious!!!

Shantelle continued the tradition and made Bridger a special quilt!  She purposely picked out bright colors for him and made the back orange minky.  When he opened the quilt, Julie said "that's creative!"  He LOVES  his blanket.  He slept with it that night and when he woke up he said "I slept so good because I had my new blanket to keep me warm."  What a gift of love!!!  The W's gave Bridger a pocket knife to welcome him into scouting.  It's just like the one they gave Chase at his baptism.  Bridger loves being a scout.  Then mom made a really special baptism book for Bridger to always remember this special day.

Soccer Game with the R's

We carried on the tradition and gave Dad and Marilyn tickets to the Real game for their birthdays.  The W's and C's came along too.  It's fun to see how the family has grown over the years.  Everyone loves going to the soccer game.  I love to see Dad wearing his Real jersey!!!  He's grown into quite a fan over the years.  We continued the tradition of eating at Crown Burger before the game.  Chase had a soccer game before.  The game was delayed by almost an hour so we were really rushing to get there on time.  Dad ordered our food for us so we didn't have to wait in line.  Right as we got there, our food was done so it worked out perfectly.  When we got to the stadium, we noticed some really dark clouds to the south.  As the night went on, the clouds got closer and darker.  I thought we were going to get drench!! But it only sprinkled on us for a few minutes, then it was done.  We lucked out!!!

We got two rows of 7 seats so it was nice to still be by each other.  Maddy sat by us with her family behind her.  Mom and Dad were by us with the C's and Marilyn behind us by the W's.  Everyone loved the game!!!  Real ended up winning the game so that made it extra fun!  At half time, Dad and Matt went with the boys to get some treats.

Mom was so sweet to help with Tanner.  Right as we sat down, Tanner had a blow out.  I opened my diaper bag and realized I only had one diaper left!  So luckily Shantelle was our backup.  Luckily I had another outfit in the bag but it wasn't a very warm one.  But it was better than a poopy outfit.  Bridger came with me to change Tanner.  While we were walking around the stadium trying to find a changing table, Bridger saw the king's chair.  He really wanted his picture in it.  I love his big smile!
