Tanner's Fall Soccer Season

Tanner finally has his turn at soccer!  I signed him up with the city to play soccer.  He had two games a week for a month.  He knew several kids on his team.  He wore some cleats that were Caleb's.  I found Bridger's old shin guards and they're still in good condition so Taner wore those.  We got him a new soccer jersey.  Tanner loved playing soccer!!!  Most games he would score at least three goals.  Every game, we would take a turn playing goalie.  He loved everything about the game.  His coach did a great job of making it fun.

Grandpa and Grandma A and R were so sweet to support Tanner and make it a big deal!

Peaches, Peaches and More Peaches!

Shantelle, Mylissa, Marilyn, Mom and I worked it out to meet at Mom's and can peaches.  It was hard to find a day that worked for everyone but we finally did it.  We were at the end of the peach season.  But with Dad's connection, the guy saved us 8 boxes of his best peaches.  We ended up canning 90 quarts of peaches and 98 pint jars of Grandma Taylor's peach jam!!!!!  That's a lot of peaches.  But now we'll be set for the winter.  Everyone was completely out.  Even though it was a long day, it was so fun to be together.  We couldn't do this without Dad's help.  He stayed outside all day long and managed the processing.  Then he stacked everything on the table and wiped them down.  What beautiful peaches.

Luckily we picked a day when Matt was off so I was able to stay all day and not worry about the kids.

Chase's Homecoming Dance

This is how Olivia answered Chase for Homecoming.

Chase asked a darling girl, Olivia to Homecoming.  He went with his group of friends, Kase, Braxton, Alex, and Raden.  Chase wanted to match Olivia's dress.  He told me that her dress was red so we bought Chase new gray dress pants.  He already had this black shirt.  We went to the mall and he picked out this tie.  He looked so snazzy!!!  I told Chase that we would be happy to have his group over and fix them dinner.  He looked at me like I was crazy and said "why would we want to do that?"  Two weeks before the dance, Kase's mom called me and asked what she could do to help with dinner.  I didn't know what she was talking about.  She informed me that the boys really liked the idea of eating dinner at our house.  It cracked me up!!  I talked to Chase and we decided on chicken cordon bleu.  I was nervous about making it.  So sweet mom came up the day before and we made it. She mostly made it.  The other moms were so awesome about helping with food.  We also did rhode rolls and then did Costco cheesecake for dessert with a chocolate sauce, caramel sauce and a berry sauce.  The group was so appreciate of everything.  We used our nice china and made everything look so nice.  When the group walked in to the dinning room, they said "Wow! It looks so nice!"  The kids enjoyed the food.

Olivia's brother got married earlier in the day and the reception was at the same time as dinner.  She asked Chase if they could come back to our house and exchange the flowers in front of us.  Her parents were at the reception so they were hoping we could take lots of pictures for them.  I was elated with their request!  With it being Chase's first dance, I was feeling sad that I would miss out on this.  It all worked out perfectly!  Olivia was darling with Chase.  His boutineer was really hard to put on.  She looked beautiful!!!

Chase had a lot of fun at this first dance!!!  The kids came back to our house after the dance and ate smores and hung out.  It made me so happy to see Chase with a good group of friends and having fun.  The kids were very appreciative of everything we did.  It made it all worth it.

During the dinner, we stayed in our bedroom and ate rolls.   Bridger and Tanner were great helpers.   They were good to be so quiet and hide in the back.

Love our Soccer Boys

We were wrapping up Bridger's soccer game when I looked over at the boys and all three of them were in their soccer uniforms.  I had to stop and take a moment and savor it.  Sometimes the boys think I'm crazy with all of the pictures I take.  I'm so grateful that our boys are healthy and they can participate in sports.

Chase got asked to the Halloween Dance

I was reading to Tanner for bedtime when Tiffani called my cell phone.  She said some girls were trying to ask Chase to the girls choice Halloween dance but they were worried about Sophie barking and Chase finding them.  So I put Sophie in the back room and made sure Chase stayed downstairs (without knowing anything).  A cute sophmore girl, Kara asked Chase saying "It would be popping if you would go to the Halloween Dance with me."  Chase was super excited about it.

Caleb's Baptism

Caleb made a special decision and chose to be baptized.  He invited us to his baptism. His baptism was really special.  He was the only one in his ward getting baptized so it was all about Caleb.
Afterwards, the Ws put on a big luncheon.  The kids brought their swimming suits and swam after lunch.  Matt, Chase and I had to leave a little early to go to Chase's soccer game in West Jordan.  Bridger and Tanner were able to stay and play with cousins.  It was a great day being together.

Labor Day in BL

I wanted Marilyn to ride with me so she didn't have to drive up to BL by herself.  By the time we added all of her stuff to all of my stuff, my van was packed full!!!  We didn't know if we were going to be able to fit everything in.  But luckily my van holds a lot!  It looks like we're going for two weeks.
I wanted to escape for Labor Day to BL.  Sweet Allan and Kaye offered us their cabin.  Originally I was going to head up Friday right after school.  But then I decided since Tanner wasn't in school yet, Marilyn and I could head up earlier.  So Marilyn and I left Wednesday later afternoon.  Mom and Dad and Matt and the boys didn't come up until Friday evening. Shantelle and her gang came up Saturday around noon. (She had some bathroom construction commitments).  Marilyn and I thoroughly enjoyed our quiet time!!!! But we were happy when the rest of the gang came up!  The weather was beautiful!  I went for a long bike ride every day.

We went to the north shore on Saturday around 4:00.  It was perfect because even though it was busy, people were starting the leave so it wasn't as crowded.  We brought Kaye and Allan's kayaks down to the lake.  We had a blast taking turns with those.  They were a big hit!

We loved soaking up some sunshine and being together.  Mom wasn't feeling well so she stayed home and rested.  We took some videos and lots of pictures.  Marilyn and Dad hung out under the canopy and enjoyed watching us.  We stayed at the beach for several hours.  It was a perfect last summer hurrah!

We love being together at Kaye's cabin.  We went for walks, watched animals.  There were some deer that hung out under a porch in the cabin above Kaye's.  The kids loved watching the deer.  The kids made lots of pearler bead creations.  Of course, we ate lots of yummy food!  I'm so glad we were able to get away and have one last break before the craziness of the school year kicks in.
