Preschool Penguin Fun

Ms. Nicole has been teaching Tanner's class about winter animals.  One of the weeks, they learned about penguins.  She brought in some snow from outside and put it in containers and let the kids play with penguins.  How cute!!!  Tanner loved it.  He has such a fun time at preschool.  She makes learning so fun.

Bowling with the S's

Tiffani and Layne went on a cruise and needed some help with their boys.  We love their boys so it was no big deal to have them stay with us for a few days.  They're such good boys and get along so well with our boys.  Plus, Bridger and Thomas have similar schedules because of basketball.  On Monday, the kids were out of school and it was our last day with them.  So sweet Tiff gave us a gift card to the bowling alley.  We went bowling!!  I was worried that it was going to be busy because it was a holiday but it was dead!  It was us and one other family.  We used two lanes.  Tanner and I used the lane with bumpers.  Even with bumpers, I still couldn't get above 100.  We played a couple of games.  Everyone had a good time!

Jazz Game with the UANA

Matt and his UANA committee decided to have a "meeting" at the Jazz Game.  They bought an upper box so they had their meeting before the game.  I took the kids and went and got some food.  The UANA bought food vouchers with the box.  It was Star Wars night at the Jazz Game.  They had lots of Star Wars characters walking around.  Tanner was a little intimidated by the scary characters but was willing to get his picture with a couple of the characters.  Chase was worried about showing up on the Jumbotron so he sat in the upper box with me.  We let Tanner and Bridger sit in the nice seats!!!  Tanner and Bridger loved the game!!  The only thing Tanner wanted was to show up on the Jumbotron and he did!!  Bridger wore his Jazz jersey and his new Jazz hat that he got for Christmas.  Tanner wanted to wear his "Michael Jordan" hat.  The Jazz were able to pull off a win so it was a great game.

Wizard of Oz

Mylissa had two extra tickets to the Wizard of Oz at the HCT.   She also invited Shantelle, Lilly and Aliyah.  Matt and Chase had a Jazz game so it worked out perfectly for Bridger and I to have a date night.  (We looked into getting a ticket for Tanner but they didn't have any seats by us plus I was worried he might be a little young - I'm so glad I didn't bring him because it was a little long). So instead, Tanner stayed home and had a special babysitter.... Thomas!!  He hung out with Thomas and had so much fun.  He went to Nicholas' basketball game, played at Thomas' house and then played at our house.  Thomas was such a great babysitter.  It made it so Tanner didn't feel bad about not coming.  We ate dinner at MS Grill.  I was so excited (I get so sick of the same four restaurants up here). MS was so good!  I got the Salmon.  Bridger got the fish and chips.  I thought his fish was some of the best fish and chips I've ever tasted.  The batter on it was so good and the fish tasted really fresh.  But Bridger wasn't a big fan of it.  He'd probably prefer to eat at AC.  But I loved the food!!!  Rob took his Dad, my Dad and Caleb to the Jazz game so they came and ate dinner with us before the game.  Matt's not a big fish person so he and Chase ate at CB.
The play was really fun.  The kids loved sitting by each other.  Bridger had seen the movie once in school so he knew the story line.  We're going to Wicked in a couple of weeks so it was fun to tie it together to Wicked.  The costumes and scenery were very colorful.  It was a fun night being together.

Playing in the snow

We finally got another big snow storm.  When Bridger came home from school,  he and Tanner went outside.  They played in the snow for almost 90 minutes.  They had so much fun playing together.  Sophie was happy too.

New Year's Eve

Jen and Michael invited us over to a party at their house.  They fixed homemade pizza for everyone.  They invited 5 couples plus our kids.  The N's came up to celebrate too.  They were so sweet to invite us over.  I've never tasted such amazing pizza.  They made a Thai peanut that was wonderful.  Even the ham and pineapple was so good.  Jen cut up fresh pineapple for the pizza.  Then we had lots of treats.  The time passes so quickly.  Some people played games while others just visited.  Before we knew it, it was almost midnight.  Jen had lots of party favors to help celebrate the New Year.  Tanner was mesmerized with the noise makers.  It was a fun night and a great way to bring in the New Year.
