Making Cookies

Matt needed some cookies for home teaching so we made a big batch of cookies.  Tanner LOVED the cookie dough.  We had to watch him because he wanted to eat it non-stop.  I would look over and he would take it right off of the tray.

Bridger's Basketball Season

Bridger's had a great basketball season.  They competitive team in town didn't have any open spots so he play rec ball and had a fun time.  Most of the kids on his team were from our ward and his coach was from our ward too.  The coach was great with the boys.  They were a good little team.  They only lost one game and it was while we were in California.  Most of their games, they blew the other team away, 64-8.  Bridger did a great job of making some plays but also sharing the ball and not being a ball hog.  We were so proud of him!  At one of his games, it was down to the last 10 seconds and we couldn't figure out what Bridger was doing.  He kept dribbling the ball around the three point line and was watching the clock.  When it was down to 3 seconds, he made the shot and made the three pointer right at the buzzer!  He was ecstatic!!!!  It was an awesome moment for Bridger!

At Bridger's last game, Grandpa and Grandma A came up to watch his game.  Bridger has a great cheering section.

Tanner loves to pose for the camera.  He's such a cheeser! I love his big smile!

Tanner's a Messy Eater

Eating time with Tanner is a huge mess!!!  I feel like I need to put him in the bathtub after every meal.  He's still really picky and I can't figure him out.  Sometimes he'll eat a food and then he won't try it again.  For example, he ate a few cucumbers a couple of times but now he won't touch them.  One time he ate four mandarin oranges for Angie, but since then I can't get him to even try them.  He's so frustrating!  He lives on applesauce, yogurt/gogurts, bananas, apples but the the skin, cinnamon toast, oatmeal and chocolate milk (anything that's a treat).  That's not a lot!  He is stubborn about trying new foods.   It's a good thing he's so darn cute!!!

Ballet Anyone?

My favorite ballet is Romeo and Juliet so I threw it out to my family to see if anyone wanted to go to with me.  Mom and Mylissa were the only takers.  (Marilyn didn't want to spend the money and poor Shantelle is too sick with the pregnancy). The only day that we could go on was Saturday night.  So we celebrated Valentine's day together.  Chase had a basketball tournament in Woods Cross so she brought her kids to watch Chase play his two games.  Mom and Dad came too.  Angie was in town for a few days so she and Ardell and Charlene came too to support Chase.  Mom, Mylissa and I headed out during the last half of the second game.  (It was a tough tournament for Chase and they lost their last two games).  We went and had the early bird special at Market Street Grill.  When we went to park the car they told us we could only eat there if we had reservations.  But Mom went in and sweet talked the lady and got us a table.  We only had to wait 10 minutes!  The food was exceptional!  We ordered the halibut that was delicious!  We decided to splurge and order the sabignon dessert.  That is one of the best desserts I've ever had!! We still got the dessert that came with our dinner special (creme brûlée and caramel ice cream).  We were so full by the end of dinner!  But everything was so delicious!
We deciced to splurge a little and get good seats.  We didn't go crazy and get the very front.  We were back about 10 rows off to the left of the stage.  The seats were great!!!  We were so happy with our performance.  The dancers were amazing!  It was everything that I hoped it would be.  We had a great night together!  (Matt hung out at his parents house with Angie and the boys.)

Bridger's Valentine's Box

Bridger wanted to do a football field like Chase did a few years ago for his Valentine box.  I looked for ideas on line and found this idea.  I showed it to Bridger and luckily he liked it.  I was even able to print off the field for free.  (I love creative people that share their ideas for free!)  I helped Bridger paint the box but then the next day I got called into work unexpectedly so I showed the idea to Matt and got out all the supplies for him.  He and Bridger had to finish it while I was at work.  Bridger had to paint the yellow goal post, cut out the football and then put it all together.  Matt wrote on the football "Kick Me a Valentine!"  I was very impressed that they put it all together!  They did a great job on his box.  Bridger was very happy with his Valentine box!

Super Bowl Party

Matt was first call so we invited our parents and Marilyn up to our house for a super bowl party.  Mom and Dad of course got a little carried away and brought TONS of food.  Dad went to the grocery store and bought a super bowl cake, football cookies, and football trays.  We had oodles of food, lots of yummy chips and dips.  The game was between the N. Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos.  We were all cheering for the Broncos and Manning.  Bridger got a Manning jersey for Christmas and he has loved it so he wore it during the game.

It was a great game to watch.  Luckily the Broncos pulled it off and won the game!!!  Our families stayed until the bitter end.  It was fun because during the first half, I was able to show our house plans to Mom, Mares and Charlene while the boys watched the game.  During the last quarter, we watched the game all together.  It was a great night!
