Chase Fall Soccer

Luckily Tiff hooked us up with her sister in law, Joni and we were able to get Chase on a competitive soccer team.  It's a combination of 7th and 8th graders.  They started practicing in August which was a huge blessing because it made it so Chase knew a few more kids at school.  I'm grateful for all the time and money we've invested into soccer because Chase has been a great asset to the team.  The coaches have been very complimentary about Chase being on their team.  They've had Chase playing mid field which has been nice for a change because normally he's on defense and he was getting really sick of that position.  Luckily they already have a really strong defensive player so Chase has enjoyed playing midi.

The boys have been very accepting and kind to Chase.  Colt, Joni's son, took him under his wing and has been a good friend to him.  He invited him to be on a 3 vs 3 team over at the high school for a fund raiser.  They took second because the team that won cheated according to our boys.  There were some girls that also participated.  Nick told us a couple of weeks later that Chase is known as the "hot red head with skills!"  That boosted his ego!

Chase got new cleats at the beginning of the season and luckily he picked out a bright blue so it made him a lot easier to pick out when he's on the field.  The team sometimes practices and scrimmages the girls 7th and 8th graders.  They're a fun group of girls.   Chase is on the front row, 5th in from the left.

RSL Soccer Game with the R's

The tradition continues!!!  I was thinking of giving Dad and Marilyn something else for their birthdays because we always do the same thing.  But then mom said that they love going to the soccer game and look forward to it.  So we continued the tradition and went to a RSL soccer game together.  RSL was playing LA Galaxy which is a really good team.  RSL ended up winning 3-0!!!  It was a very exciting game.  We had a great time!!!

Before the game started, we met at Crown Burger for dinner.  We were running late because Chase had a soccer game.  Mom and Dad ordered our food so when we got there our food was waiting for us.  Over the years, we've collected some RLS clothing so it's fun to get all geared up and look like real fans.  I love it when Dad wears his jersey.

Poor Lily has been really sick so she stayed home with Grandma C.  At half time we went and got some yummy treats to share.  I couldn't believe how fast the game went by.  We were having so much fun that I was sad to see the night end.

A good time was had by all!

Bridger Fall Soccer

We registered Bridger to play in the recreation soccer league.  We learned real quick that the fall focus is on football because they don't have a lot of kids doing soccer.  They combined second and third graders.  Bridger definitely had the most experience so his coach loved him!!!  His coach, Nicole, also has a son on Chase's soccer team so it was nice to get to know her better.  She was great with the kids.  Bridger enjoyed getting lots of playing time!

Busy Tanner!!

Tanner is a very active 16 month old.  He's fingered out how to climb up on the chairs and get on top of the counter and table.  The other day I was blow drying my hair and when I was done I came downstairs and Tanner was on top of the counter, opening a cupboard and when he saw me he said "no no!"
Sophie loves to lay on the stairs.  The other night I was doing the dishes and I looked over and Tanner had crawled over Sophie and was sitting on top of her.  Sophie was so good to stay there.  Tanner had the biggest smile on his face.  Sophie is so good to put up with Tanner crawling all over her.  Lately he likes to pull her tail.
Tanner has figured out how to "cheese" when you take a picture.  He closes his eyes really tight and then gives the biggest smile.  It's so cute!!!! Bridger and Tanner love to play in the bathtub together.  They turn into little fish and splash all over the place.

The boys have had lots of soccer games and flag football games this fall.  Sometimes it's a little hard to watch the game because Tanner is all over the place.  He loves to play at the park or play with balls.
The other morning I was doing my hair and realized Tanner wasn't in the room with me.  I came downstairs and he was "stirring" the orange juice.  When he saw me, he gave me the biggest smile (probably so I wouldn't kill him.)  Luckily the container was only 1/4 full but there was still a lot of orange juice to pick up.
I finally got Tanner some new shoes.  He's been wearing his stinky sandals and crocs during the summer.  But he needed some real shoes.  I bought three pairs and two of them were way too big.  As you can see from this picture, Tanner likes to wear his new shoes.  He looks so styling.
