Merry Christmas!

The boys were so excited for Christmas.  We told them to wake us up at 8:00.  They were very obedient because Chase woke up around 6:00 and just read and Bridger woke up around 8 so it was perfect.  I love the picture of the boys and Sophie waiting at the top of the stairs to come down.  The boys were very surprised to get a WiiU from us and then Santa brought them Disney Infinity.  The boys gave Matt the movie Despicable Me 2, with a Minion shirt.  He loved it!

I surprised Matt and got him a 3D blue ray player so now we can watch 3D movies on our fancy TV. The main thing that Chase wanted for Christmas was an Under Armor hoodie.  He was very happy to see one plus a jacket.

Bridger made us a wreath ornament out of rice in school.  Chase made us some ornaments in scout.  My favorite one is the picture of him in the ornament.  Matt took the boys shopping to pick me out a present.  They bought me Electronic monopoly but the funny thing was that I had already bought that game for Chase.  So that's why there are two monopoly games.

After we opened our presents, we headed up to the Adams for the afternoon.  We ate lunch with them and played CANDY bingo.  It was such a fun afternoon.  Megan brought a big present for CANDY and Amy kept telling Bridger that he would want it.  So the whole game, Bridger kept fighting people for the big gift, especially Mike and Jake.  It was worth the fight because it was a mini air hockey table!!!  Mark ended up with the CANDY hat.  Everyone had a good laugh!

Later that night, we went over to the R's to continue the celebrations.  We ate more delicious food!  Then we exchanged gifts with everyone.  The boys have been spoiled today!!!!  What a great Christmas.  The best part has been being with our families.

Christmas Eve

Matt was on-call for Christmas Eve so I warned Mom that we weren't coming up.  Everyone was sweet about coming down.  Mom and Dad, Marilyn and the W's came down around 4:00.  We had a nice dinner.  Shantelle impressed us by making the three layer Christmas jello!  The kids just loved playing together.  Mom and Dad gave us a fun book called "the Night before Christmas in Utah."  Mom and Dad not only did PJ's for the kids but she also bought all the kids robes.  My boys loved them because they feel like they're jedi's from Star Wars.  It was so nice not running around on Christmas Eve.  Luckily Matt was able to be home with us!!!

Playing in the Snow

We finally got a little bit of snow.  The boys were SO excited to go out and play in the snow.  Mom and Dad got a couple of feet so I took a picture of Chase in the backyard with our 1-2 inches of snow. We definitely live in happy valley because we rarely get dumped on with snow.  (At least that's what we tell mom and dad).  I love looking out the window and watching the boys play.  They are crazy together!!!!  They are such happy boys!

Christmas Concert

We got tickets to the Mormon Tabernacle's Christmas concert.  We came back from California so we could go to this concert.  It's the first time that the boys have been able to come with us.  Mom, Dad, Marilyn and the Weger's also got tickets for the same night.  So we met everyone for a quick dinner at the food court.  It was crazy busy!!!  The concert was great!  The Mo-tab always does an amazing job!  After the concert, we walked around Temple Square and enjoyed the lights.  It was really cold so we made it a quick walk.  Unfortunately we got stuck in the parking garage for over an hour because of all the traffic!!!  Mom and Dad made it home and we were still in the parking garage.

Chase's Christmas Concert

Chase decided to join the school choir this year.  He gets up early on Tuesdays and goes from 7:15-8:00 and then after school on Wednesdays.  We were so excited to finally hear all the songs that he's been working so hard on the past several months.  It was a wonderful Christmas concert!!!  One of the songs, Chase was in charge of ringing the bell.  I could tell he was nervous but he did a great job!!   The concert was a great way to get into the Christmas spirit!  Grandpa and Grandma R, and Marilyn came down and even the C's came to the concert.  Grandma A had eye surgery otherwise they would have come too.  We went out to JCW's afterwards to celebrate.

Happy St. Nicholas Day!

Happy St. Nicholas Day!  St. Nicholas continues to find us each year. Bridger was so excited that he found us! Matt had to go to work so the boys were patient and waited until after school to open their presents.  He brought us lots of cookies and candies.  Chase got the movie Monsters University and Bridger got the movie Planes.  He also brought them hot chocolate mugs with their initial on it. The Christmas tree peeps were a big hit!  After the boys opened their presents, we surprised them and told them that we're leaving for California the next day.  Let's go to Disneyland!!!!

Chase Is Student of the Week!

Chase was selected as Student of the Week for his school.  His teacher wrote a very nice note about Chase.  Chase is an excellent student.  He really enjoys learning.  But more importantly, Chase is a good friend.  He's kind to everyone around him.  He's especially kind to Bridger.  They are best friends!

Bridger's Art

For Thanksgiving, Bridger made a turkey hat.  He decorated the inside of it with U of U and BYU writing.  He's such a funny little kid.  For veteran's day, he made an army guy holding a flag. It looks just like him because it has orange hair and freckles.

Fall Pictures

On our girls weekend I was able to find these outfits for the boys so I called Kip and asked her if she would take some pictures for us.  We threw everything together really quickly because we only had one sunny day and then we knew the weather was going to change.  Kip arranged her schedule and we did a quick photo shoot after school.  I'm so impressed with Kip's talent.  She was able to get some great pictures.  My main goal was to get some pictures for a Christmas card.  Of course we had to had Sophie in a few pictures.

Kip and I looked on-line for ideas of how to announce that we're pregnant.  I wanted to put something in our Christmas card announcing our exciting news.  Kips found this idea so I had Shantelle write it on her chalk board.  It turned out really cute but I didn't end up using it for our Christmas card.  It was too hard to see the writing.  Kip got some funny pictures of the boys showing their excitement about our news.

Kip wanted to take a few pictures with me and the boys.  At first I didn't want to but I'm so glad I did because I love how they turned out.  I love my boys SO much!!!!  What great memories.

Happy Halloween!

Monday night for family home evening, we carved our pumpkins.  Shantelle had a little pumpkin patch in her garden so we picked one from her patch.  For Halloween, Chase dressed up as a "zombie" football player.  I didn't really know what he had in mind for the Zombie thing, but I bought some face paint and it worked out pretty well.  chase was happy with the end results.  I just painted his face like he told me to do.  Bridger wanted to be Commander Cody, a Star Wars Clone Trooper.  I love the picture of Bridger posing with his imaginary gun.

Matt went trick-o-treating with the boys.  Chase had a couple of friends go with them.  They set a new record for how long they were out for.  They started around 6:00 and didn't come home until 8:30!  They had over a hundred pieces of candy!!!!  Luckily the weather was nice and warm so they didn't have to wear coats.  It was a perfect night for trick-o-treating.  Shantelle and Robby came to our house for a quick stop.  Aliyah was princess Sophia.  Aliyah helped me pass out candy for a little bit.
