Tanner is Learning To Use a Spoon

Tanner is learning to use a spoon!  Feeding time is SO messy but hopefully it will get a little bit better with utensils.  He mainly likes to play with his food with his fingers and spread it all over his tray.  He's more serious when he uses a spoon and tends to actually eat some of his food instead of finger painting his tray.

First Snow

We received our first snow of the season.  Bridger was so excited to go out and play in it.  I found this snowsuit for Tanner at Costco for a really good price.  I bundled him up and sent him out into the snow.  Unfortunately his boots were way too big so they didn't stay on so he didn't last very long out in the snow.  He got too frustrated with his big boots.  But he did play for a little bit with Bridger in the snow.  Bridger and Sophie loved playing in the snow.

Down Time

Poor Sophie is so good to put up with Tanner.  He loves to crawl all over her and treat her like a horse.  He loves to lay on her.  He calls her "Soshe."  It's so cute!
The boys were downstairs watching a sports game and I came down to find this.  Chase was wide awake watching the game but Bridger and Tanner had fallen asleep on the floor.  Chase put their blankets over them.  How sweet!

HappyThanksgiving!

We had a great Thanksgiving with the As.  We had a fabulous turkey dinner!!  I made Shelly jello, green bean casserole and some pies.  We were lucky to have Angie and the girls come in town for Thanksgiving.  We loved having them around!  We spent lots of time with them over the holiday break!!!  Unfortunately Amy and Mike and us are on opposite years so they were not there that day but we still were able to see them during the week.

After dinner, we carried on the tradition and played "TURKEY" bingo.  There were lots of fun prizes. Bridger was happy with the fuzzy socks he won.  He lucked out and won the silly hat!

We had such a great week spending time with the Ms.  We're so happy they came out to see us.

Turkey Trot Winner!

Matt and I came over to the school to see the "Indian Fair."  Each student was assigned an Indian Tribe and then they had to learn all about them.  They had to make what their home would have looked like.  So when we came to the fair, the first thing Bridger said was "I won a turkey!"  He kept saying that and Matt and I looked at him like he was crazy and said "ok, we'll see about that."  But then we talked to Tiff and she said that it was true!!  They do a boys and a girls race for each grade and whoever comes in first place wins a turkey from Kent's Grocery store.  Bridger won the "Turkey Trot" for the 4th grade!!!  He acted like he had won a million bucks!  He was so happy!  Just before school ended, they called all the winners down to receive their certificates.  First place won a 12 pound turkey, second place won a pumpkin pie and third place won some ice cream.

I love Bridger's big smile holding his first place "Turkey Trot" certificate!! Normally Thomas wins but Bridger barely beat him so Thomas came in second.  He was a good sport about it.

5 Kids is Busy!

On Sunday on the way home from my girls weekend, I picked up Shantelle's girls so they could go to Hawaii for their 10 year anniversary!  We kept Lily and Aliyah until Wednesday and then Mom and Dad came up and got them to enjoy them for a few days and let them spend some time with the W's too.  We had such a fun time with Lily and Aliyah.  We made cookies one night.  Lily and Tanner are little buddies.  Aliyah talks nonstop and is all girl.  We painted her nails and had lots of dance parties to Taylor Swift music.

Aliyah is all about dance parties.  We turn on a Taylor Swift song and dance like crazy around the room.  Even Lily and Tanner danced around.

The weather was really cold while the girls were here so we couldn't play outside or go to a park.  So on Tuesday I was having some cabin fever so I took Tanner, Lily and Aliyah to McDonalds for lunch and to play on the playground.  They had a blast!!  Tanner has discover playlands and thinks they are wonderful!!  Unfortunately, Bridger and Chase still had to go to school during the day so Aliyah got a little board during the day.  But as soon as Bridger came home, he was great to play with Aliyah.  They're really sweet friends.  We've missed having them come over more frequently.  f

Tanner and Lily were so funny together.  They had to do exactly the same thing!  They were either best friends or fighting over the same toy.  It's hard to share at that age.  Even though it was really busy taking care of five kids, we loved having Aliyah and Lily with us!!!

Girl's Weekend

We started our Girls Weekend on Friday evening at Gyi Gyi's.  Then we headed over to Fashion Place mall and shopped some more.  We ate dinner the Cheesecake Factory.  The food is always so delicious!  Everyone ordered a piece of cheesecake to take back to the hotel room.  By the time we finished with dinner, the mall was closed so we headed back to the hotel.  We ended up staying up till 3:00 just talking and laughing!! It was so much fun!  The next morning we slept in until 9:30 which was heavenly!  By the time everyone got ready and ate some breakfast we left around noon.  We started off at the Traverse Outlets.  We found some good deals and cute things!
We left around 4:00 and stopped by McDonald's for something to tie us over until a later dinner.  We got diet coke and fries!  Then we headed back to Fashion Place mall for some more shopping.  Around 8:00 we went to dinner at Tucci's, an Italian restaurant that we've been to for the last several years.  It was really good.   By the time dinner was finished, the mall was closed.  But we didn't want our shopping to end so we went to Target for an hour.  While we were there, I showed the girls what Siri says when you send the pile of poo with the smile..."smiling pile of poo."  We laughed so hard!!! I'll never forget that moment because we were in the middle of an isle laughing our guts out!
You can tell from the back of my van, that our weekend was a success!  We were able to find lots of cute things and even a few Christmas presents.  We didn't have the energy to stay up as late so after falling asleep on the couch, we went to bed around 1:00.  I'm so thankful for my association with my sweet Minnesota friends.  They are my sisters.  I love each one of them dearly!! What a great weekend! (We sure missed Amber and Wendy over the weekend. Wendy was in Colorado and Amber was sick with a migraine.)

Chase's New Snowboard

Chase really wanted to switch from skiing to snowboarding so we looked on KSL and found a really reasonable used board, bindings and boots.  Chase is very excited about his new snowboard.  Tanner was very intrigued by the snowboard and wanted to be just like Chase so he stood on the board and put his arms out too.

Bridger Super Star

This orange coat was a hand me down of Sy's and Bridger was so excited to wear it.  It's a really nice EB coat!!!  I took a picture of Bridger wearing it, giving Kip the thumbs up that he's happy with it.  Bridger loves to read!  I came downstairs and he was leaning against the railing reading.

Every person in Bridger's school class had to make a poster about themselves.  Bridger had a fun time picking out each picture.  Every picture describes something that Bridger loves (family, skiing, Sophie, Disneyland, Island Park, his friends, baseball, soccer, cookies and cream ice cream and playing in the water).
