A Surprise Visit from Mike, Amy and Ashtyn

Mike, Amy, and Ashtyn surprised us and came down to watch the boys at their soccer games.  Mike took the day off of work. We loved spending the day with them.  The boys were so excited to have them watch them!!!!  It was really sweet of them to spend the day with us. They even went over in-between games and watched Chase at his football practice.  The boys love catching the football with Mike.  They never get sick of that.

Soccer Game Fun!

It's official, we're a Real SL family!! We all have soccer shirts to wear to the games.  We carried on the tradition and gave Dad and Marilyn tickets to the soccer game for their birthdays this summer.  We chose a game latter in the season so it wouldn't be too hot.  We had such a fun time.  It was a great game. Real won which made it even better.  Dad bought lots of treats at half time.

Sophie likes vegetables!

 Our little Sophie is rapidly growing.  She's getting so big.  She's still a very energetic puppy.  She's learned how to jump up on the couch so now she thinks that it's her new bed.  Oh is she wrong!  She also has discovered our garden.  She's eating my onions, cucumbers, spaghetti squash, green peppers and jalapeños.  She's pulled up most of my garden plants and my flowers in the back yard.  She's a very good gardener.  The day that she ate the whole green pepper, I was so worried that she would be sick.  But I guess she likes her vegetables because she didn't get sick.  Stupid dog!

I went Kayaking!!!!

 My friend Beth is a really "outdoorsy" gal.  She invited me and Jenn to go kayaking with her (Sarah couldn't come).  I was really nervous at first but it ended up being so much fun!  We went a couple of times.  We kayaked down the P. river.  The water was very mild and easy to paddle through.  The weather couldn't have been more perfect.  I never felt cold.  The leaves were incredible!!!! It was a great adventure.  The thing that I love the most is spending time with my friends.  We had so much fun talking and laughing.

Chase's first soccer game...3 goals!

We were so proud of Chase.  At his first academy soccer game of the season, he went out and scored three goals!!!!!  He had the biggest smile on his face!  It's awesome to see how much he has improved in his soccer skills.  What to go Chase!!!!

Brigham City Temple Open House

 Rob got us tickets to the Brigham city temple open house.  So we ditched Chase's soccer game and went to the open house with Marilyn, the C's and Grandpa and Grandma R.  The W's had to go earlier because Maddy had nutcracker practice.  We're so excited for her that she made it this year.  If she misses a practice, then she's kicked out.  Bud was out of town so his family didn't come. We grabbed a quick bite to eat at Madox before the temple.  Matt wanted to eat inside but it was an hour wait so we had to settle on hamburgers.  Luckily we arrived to the temple around 6:00 and we only had to wait about 30 minutes to start our tour inside.  The temple is absolutely beautiful!!!   The colors were so soft.  It was fun to find the peach blossom. The feeling was very peaceful.
